High ISO Images

I thought I it sussed but these were all taken at 3200 Iso and the 2 geese were the furthest away from the camera
yet the grebes are so noisy they are unusable. :o :o :o

These are great, there doesn`t seem to be any difference with the images with noise reduction and without :shock:

I know that's what I thought, now I'm not sure if I applied some in a mix up. Tonight I'll go back and have a look.
Even saying that, when I looked at the original last night I was blown away by the lack of noise.
Why is the Grebe so noisy thought, same ISO same lake same lighting a bit far away but not as far as the fighting Geese :?: :?: :?:
