Playing about today (thanks to Alison's lens cheers) I think I've got it set up in a way that should be good for me now.
Then I tested the IS, most impressed and I had a go with the ISO settings . I when through from ISO 1000 and ended up
with this at ISO 25,600 .I was focused on the screw on the door handle and this pic is straight out of the camera untouched except the added boarder,
see what you think.
Just testing
Re: Just testing
Wow, I think I need one. That looks amazing.
Re: Just testing
I have just been processing my images from Thursday and they are awful.
If I can't get better results it's going back. I know some of the faulťs are mine but a lot aren't.

Re: Just testing
I think Thursday was a bad day to judge it on, I have deleted most of my shots taken with the 500mm, in fact all of the Bearded Tits. I may be able to rescue a couple taken with the 100-400.
Re: Just testing
I hope you're right. I know a lot of the trouble was my fault so I will have to have another go
Í just hope it's not a bad copy.

Re: Just testing
It will be fine, you need to use it on a less windy day when you have it set up to suit you. I have every confidence in it and you.
Re: Just testing
I have it set up now unlike anyone else's I've seen but I'm worried about the quality of the images
they look a bit mushy in places, but I could whinge for England.
